Rules & Constitution

Section 1 — Team Representation

Each participating team shall represent a duly recognized chapter or church.

Section 2 — Registration

• Each chapter may register an unlimited number of players.
• Every registered player must be eligible under the provisions of this Constitution.

Section 3 — Eligible Participants

The following categories of Ambassadors shall be eligible to participate:

• Junior Ambassadors.
• Intermediate Ambassadors.
• Senior Ambassadors, provided that not more than five (5) Senior Ambassadors are on the field of play for a team at any given time.

Section 4 — Definition of Senior Ambassador

For the purpose of this Constitution, a Senior Ambassador shall mean any Ambassador holding the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary or above.

Section 5 — Verification and Authorization

Every team shall submit a final roster before the commencement of the competition. The roster shall be duly signed by:

• The Chapter Director; and
• The MMU President.

The signatures shall serve as confirmation that all registered players are eligible. Unsigned rosters shall not be accepted.

Section 1 — Group Stage

• Each team shall play two (2) group-stage matches.
• Fixtures shall be determined after the completion of registration.

Section 2 — Points Allocation

Points shall be awarded as follows:

• Win — Three (3) Points
• Draw — One (1) Point
• Loss — Zero (0) Points

Section 3 — Ranking and Tie-Breakers

Where teams finish with equal points, ranking shall be determined in the following order:

1. Goal Difference
2. Goals Scored
3. Head-to-Head Record
4. Fair Play Record
5. Penalty Shootout

Section 4 — Knockout Qualification

The top four (4) teams at the conclusion of the group stage shall qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals shall advance to the final.

Section 5 — Final Match

The final match of the competition shall be played on a Sunday.

Section 1 — Group Stage Matches

• Two halves of twenty-five (25) minutes each.
• Half-time interval of ten (10) minutes.
• Total duration of sixty (60) minutes.

Section 2 — Semi-Finals and Final

• Two halves of thirty-five (35) minutes each.
• Half-time interval of ten (10) minutes.
• Total regulation time of seventy (70) minutes.

Section 3 — Extra Time

Where a semi-final or final match remains tied after regulation time:

• Extra time shall consist of two halves of fifteen (15) minutes each.
• If still tied after extra time, the match shall proceed to a penalty shootout.

Section 1 — Drawn Matches

A match ending in a draw shall award one (1) point to each team.

Section 1 — Yellow Cards

A yellow card shall constitute an official warning.

Section 2 — Double Yellow Cards

A player receiving two yellow cards in the same match shall:

• Be shown a red card.
• Be immediately expelled from the match.

Section 3 — Red Cards

A player receiving a red card shall:

• Be immediately expelled from the match.
• Be suspended for the next group-stage match.

Section 4 — Card Amnesty

• All yellow and red cards accumulated during the group stage shall be cancelled before the commencement of the knockout stage.
• All players shall enter the knockout stage with a clean disciplinary record.

Section 5 — Knockout Stage Discipline

All disciplinary sanctions incurred during the knockout stage shall remain effective throughout the remainder of the competition.

Section 6 — Serious Misconduct

The Sports Committee reserves the right to:

• Suspend players or officials.
• Disqualify teams.
• Impose additional sanctions for acts of serious misconduct, violence, abuse, or repeated violations.

Section 1 — Prayer

Every match shall commence and conclude with prayer led by an appointed official or representative.

Section 2 — Christian Conduct

Participants shall conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner at all times.

Section 3 — Prohibited Behaviour

The following shall be prohibited:

• Foul or abusive language.
• Insults and threats.
• Offensive gestures.
• Unsporting conduct.

Section 4 — Respect

Respect shall be shown to:

• Match officials.
• Opposing teams.
• Teammates.
• Spectators.

Section 1 — Punctuality

• Teams shall arrive at least thirty (30) minutes before kick-off.
• A team that is fifteen (15) minutes late may forfeit the match, subject to the discretion of the Sports Committee.

Section 2 — Walkover

A team that fails to appear or cannot field a team shall lose by a walkover score of three goals to nil (3–0).

Section 3 — Substitutions

• Rolling substitutions shall not be permitted.
• Substituted players shall not return to play.
• The referee shall be informed before every substitution.

Section 4 — Medical Responsibility

• Basic first aid shall be available.
• Players participate at their own risk.
• Teams are encouraged to bring additional medical supplies.

Section 5 — Spectator Conduct

• Spectators shall conduct themselves respectfully.
• Booing, abusive chants, violence, or disorderly behaviour shall not be tolerated.
• Offending spectators may be removed from the venue.

Section 1 — Nomination

Each participating chapter may nominate one individual of proven character and sound knowledge of football laws to serve as a match official.

Section 2 — Appointment

The Sports Committee shall determine whether a nominee serves as:

• Referee; or
• Assistant Referee (Linesman).

The decision of the Sports Committee shall be final.

Section 1 — Team Awards

• First Place Trophy and Gold Medals.
• Second Place Trophy and Silver Medals.

Section 2 — Individual and Special Awards

The following awards may be presented:

• Best Player.
• Best Goalkeeper.
• Highest Goal Scorer.
• Coach of the Tournament.

Section 1 — Interpretation

The Sports Committee shall have authority to interpret the provisions of this Constitution where ambiguity exists.

Section 2 — Amendment

The Sports Committee may amend any provision of this Constitution where necessary for the successful conduct of the competition, provided such amendments are communicated to all participating chapters before implementation.
